When mom whips this up, there’s never any leftovers

Ingredients

1 teaspoon canola oil
2-pound boneless, spiral-cut, fully cooked ham
20-ounce can pineapple slices, juice reserved
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
30 whole toothpicks

Preparation

1. Rub canola oil around interior of slow cooker.
2. In a medium bowl, mix honey, brown sugar and juice from canned pineapple to form a thick, sticky glaze.
3. Place ham in slow cooker. Pour glaze over the top.
4. Arrange pineapple rings over the surface of ham, attaching each slice with 3 toothpicks.
5. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Remove from slow cooker and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Pro tip: Reserve juices from the slow cooker. While ham rests, reduce them in a saucepan by bringing to a bare simmer, reducing heat to medium-low heat and cooking for 5 to 10 minutes, until thickened. Serve alongside ham.
