A Delicious and Healthy Homemade Bread Recipe for Breakfast

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water

Preparation

  1. Prepare the Yeast Mixture: In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water with a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes frothy. This step is crucial as it activates the yeast.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and salt. Mix well.
